The journey of Aura.

Aura Pisces, playwright and actress in the employ of the Gibli Theatre Company, tells us about the time she went exploring the Bathwater Ocean.

"I'm back, it was a short journey, I was sailing for a day when I remembered about the play and I rushed back, but I got caught in a storm; my boat sunk and I was rescued by these strange creatures called Hlalys.

They had the body of a dolphin and a head like that of a great eagle. At first I was very frightened, but they comforted me and told me that they would not hurt me, then someone made me able to breathe underwater and took me to stay with them in their underwater kingdom until they had built me a new ship.

The political structure was some like the traditional royalty management system only instead of having a King say do this do that, they had a young girl which they call a spinla.

It was quite strange, the land is a wonderful place full of laughter. They choose a spinla who is four years old, then once the spinla turns ten they choose a new one. They choose one by taking all the young girls of four years old into a room which they call the ono. The room is a big round room. The place all the girls in the centre of the room and blindfold them and the first girl to make it to the door is the new spinla. (they think that this shows that she has direction and will lead them well)

They have no laws, because there are no crimes committed, everyone works when the spinla says and any other time everyone has fun and plays, there is no mischief and the land was quite peaceful. I think all countries should be like that.

You would think that the people would be shy, but they act like children and are very hospitable to strangers. It would also surprise you at how smart they are. A four year old girl there is as smart as a thirty-year-old professor. They are like geniuses, and they have a lot more technology than we, and they have a cure for every disease. The Kingdom was quite large, but you cannot see it, unless they pull you down, there is no way to get there unless they take you.

They were so very kind and asked me to come visit them soon. While I was there I saw many things in their kingdom, if anyone would like to know anything, just ask. I completed some most of my play, I have added in the new things I have learned and I also was taught the Hlalys language, if anyone wants to learn anything just ask."
