The origin of the word
'potato.'.

"I've learnt where the word potato comes from:
It is derived from Po Tator, the son of the famous Dic
Tator. This was one of the aristocrats of the fallen hills. He had
often conflict with his neighbours. So once he send his son Po on an
expedicion to the land of another lord. His son and his men (or
women) got lost, and they nearly starved. Then one of then found the
potatoe-plant, and tried to eat it. He found it rather tasty
(compared to no food at all), so they all tried the plant. Po said
:"This plant will be called the Po Tator plant", but he said it with
his mouth full of potato, so that's why it is potato (and not
potator)."
